I blew a small coal (I was trying to get the ash off of the head) and it fell on the carpet, and now it smells like burnt carpet in here, haha. Nothing a little fabreze cant handle. pullingteeth Posted September 8, 2008 Share Posted September 8, 2008 (edited) there's been plenty of "oops fucks" on my "hookah carpet"once there was a girl over at my house and she blew on my dogs nose (a small dachshund) and he jumped and caught the hose...the hookah tipped into the couch and the coals went everywhere...burnt the shit outta my blanket (covers the couch) and left plenty of marks on the carpet once i got it off the blanket.i'd say that there are about 15+ good sized burns on my carpet... but shit happens. whenever it happens it smells like singed hair cuz of my dog. its terrible.EDIT: have only had my OWN hookah for about half a month or so...lmao Edited September 8, 2008 by pullingteeth Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I can't count the times I've dropped the coals.So one of my criterion for when I buy/rent a house will be tile.Maybe i'll smoke in the bathroom . We were inside and my dad reaches for a hit to see what it's all about, pulls the hose and the coal goals flying and rolls around the carpet, got a good dozen small marks and one big black hole in the carpet.Finally started laying down a crap blanket under my hookah, now that soaks up all the burns. All three times have been my fault and it happened when I was holding the coals and just dropped them onto the floor. And then one time I dropped a coal into my coke. Probably about 3 years ago when I bought my first hookah I burned my friends carpet trying to pull the hookah closer by the hose, bad decison lol. Then 2 months before I'm planning to move, I buy a new hookah and burn 3 holes in the apartment carpet. No security deposit for me.At the new house, I bought a very nice persian rug for ~$70 at IKEA that has one burn in it already, but luckily it just melted a little and you can't see it - but you can sorta feel it when your foot brushes over it. In our "hookah room" (the place where the burner and coals and shisha storage is) I managed to have a coal explode into 3 places and burn that carpet up - luckily it's just a little shop room off to the side and nobody cares about the carpet and I can just buy a little carpet to replace it instead of having to replace fully installed carpet. cotsi95 Posted September 8, 2008 Share Posted September 8, 2008 For little burns try plucking fibers from the unburned carpet, Find once that match the carpet around the burn mark. then scrape the burned carpet out and superglue the new fibers in. Phlippinout14 Posted September 8, 2008 Share Posted September 8, 2008 first year in college, my roommate and i burned the HELL out of our already nasty ass carpet. there were about 30 burns total. probably about 10 of those burns went THROUGH the carpet and into the cement thats apparently under the laid in carpet. what was REALLY awesome was that we didnt have to pay for it at the end of the year. the cause for all those burns were mainly breaking the coals into bits when holding them in the tongs, or just plain stupidly dropping them. we burned crap out of the old towel that he laid down too. the burns altogether on the towel kinda resembled iraq, which was funny in a way.yeah, we sucked at carrying coals. no doubt.ive been smokin hookah a couple times in my room at home too, and now there are i think three small burns. they're really noticeable though. i hope my parents dont see them Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
